The city has an international airport, which is located around 10 kilometers from the center. From here, flights depart to Germany, Italy, and Spain, among others. Timișoara is also easily accessible by train and bus. This means you can easily travel by train to Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, or neighboring countries such as Hungary and Serbia.
Probably the best time to visit Timișoara is between April and October. Temperatures are warm (up to 35°C) and rainfall is relatively low.
Timișoara might be a bit cheaper compared to other larger Romanian cities such as Bucharest or Cluj-Napoca. A simple lunch in a local restaurant costs around 25 to 50 lei (5-10 euros).
The city is ideal for a weekend trip. So 1-3 days are absolutely enough for the city and you can explore most of the sights and places.
