From lively streets to quiet corners, it’s a place where history, food, and everyday moments blend effortlessly, long lunches, warm evenings, and the beauty of simply taking your time. Italy is a feeling!

Italy means historical architecture, unique sights such as the Leaning Tower of Pisa or the Colosseum, culinary specialties such as pizza and pasta, the home of many designer brands and classic collector’s items such as the Vespa and much more. What’s special about Italy is the typical mix of scenic diversity, idyllic bays, endless beaches, multifaceted culture and authentic way of life. The country is without a doubt one of the most popular holiday and excursion regions in the world. Italy’s neighbouring countries are France, Switzerland, Austria, Slovenia, Vatican City and San Marino. A country in which there is so much to discover and marvel at. Picturesque towns, dreamy sandy beaches with azure blue water, great food, hospitable people, beautiful lakes and rivers can all be found here in Italy.

The best time to visit Italy are generally, the months from May to September with ideal mild and pleasant weather. But these are also the months when most tourists come to Italy. Therefore, the months of April, October and November are more relaxed. In the winter months November – March it’s ski and winter season in the north of Italy wich is highly recommended.

The best way to get around Italy is by train or car. The country has a very good train network, especially for travel between larger cities. The high-speed trains (such as the Frecciarossa or Italo) connect many of the most important cities. But there are also many flights within Italy, which are usually very cheap.
The country is part of the Schengen Area, you can travel through Italy for 90 days with a Schengen visa. As an EU citizen, you don’t need a visa for the 90 days and can simply enter with an ID card or passport.
The fee for the Schengen visa is €90.
The tap water here is generally safe to drink, but it’s often chlorinated. Therefore, we recommend drinking bottled or filtered water.
The most common plug types in Italy are C and F. However, type L can also be found.
Traffic can often be a bit stressful, especially in cities and metropolitan areas. Road conditions here are generally quite good and pleasant to drive on. Most Italian highways are toll roads, and there are toll booths. You can pay in cash, by card, or by Telepass.
