Spring (Mar. – May) is ideal, especially if you want to experience the tulips in bloom. Autumn (Sep. – Nov.) is also a pleasant time to visit, with fewer tourists and mild weather. Summer (June to Aug.) is perfect for outdoor activities and festivals. Winter (Dec. – Feb.) is quiet and romantic, but temperatures can be cool and many tourist attractions are less accessible.
For quick and comfortable travel between cities, we recommend the train and bus. For a scenic and healthy way to get around, we recommend a bicycle. For flexibility and to get to remote places, we recommend a rental car, especially for trips to less busy regions or villages. For sightseeing, public transport (tram, bus and metro) is very practical, especially in the larger cities.
