Together with the neighboring cities of Gdynia and Danzig, which are each around 9 kilometers away, it forms the so-called Tricity conurbation. Sopot is a Baltic Sea resort located in the north of the country. The spa town is known, among other things, for its wooden pier, which at around 500 meters is the longest on the Baltic Sea. The place has been known as a spa for around 200 years.

The town on the Baltic Sea is very easy to reach. It is around 15 kilometers from Gdansk Airport to Sopot. You can also easily get from Gdansk to Sopot by train in 20 minutes. Otherwise, the journey is also very relaxed by bus or your own car.
The summer months between June and September are probably the best for a trip to Sopot. The temperatures are pleasant to warm, around 25 degrees.
The prices are on average a little lower. Comparable to prices in Gdansk. A good meal costs around 10-15€ per person.
It is a popular destination for people from the cities of Gdansk and Gdynia. Especially on hot summer days, it is a great place for a day trip and a great place to spend time on the beach.
