Kempten is a very beautiful town in Bavaria on the Iller with around 70,000 inhabitants. With a great mountain panorama, Kempten is located on the border with the Austrian states of Tyrol and Vorarlberg and is also known as the gateway to the Alps. The best way to get here is by bus or train. Memmingen Airport is around 40 kilometers from Kempten. From here you can easily travel by bus. Kempten also has good train connections. Countless trains leave here every day to various regions and cities. If you arrive by car, the city offers many good and inexpensive parking options.

Summers are very nice here, but can also be hot. Spring and autumn are probably the most pleasant seasons. In winter temperatures are often below 0 degrees and it often snows here. At the end of November to mid- to late December there is a very nice Christmas market here.

The town in the Allgäu is absolutely average for Germany. You pay around 4-5€ for a beer here. A good hotel costs around 100-120€ for two people and one night.
