It is one of those places that quietly stays with you long after you’ve left. Tucked away in the Bavarian Alps, it feels like stepping into a postcard but one that’s alive, warm and wonderfully real. Yes, you’ve probably seen photos of Neuschwanstein or Lakes around, but Füssen is so much more than its famous castle.

Those who arrive early in the morning or shortly before sunset will experience the viewpoint in a particularly atmospheric way and usually with significantly fewer people.

In the Füssen and Schwangau region, there are several guest cards offering attractive discounts for your holiday. The Füssen Card, the KönigsCard and the SchwangauCard are particularly interesting. Here you’ll find a brief overview of the Füssen Card, their benefits, and terms of use.
What is the Füssen Card and what is included?
Important: The Füssen Card is only available if you are staying at a participating accommodation (hotel, vacation apartment, etc.).
You will receive the Füssen Card upon arrival. It is part of the Füssen check-in form and will be detached and given to you by your host at the end of the check-in process. Each accompanying person will also receive their own Füssen Card.
The KönigsCard offers free access to over 200 leisure activities in the Allgäu, Tyrol, and Upper Bavaria regions, including free mountain railway rides, admission to swimming pools and museums, and discounts on various offers. Similar to the Füssen Card, the card is issued by participating hosts during your stay.
