Budweis, Czechia

Streets Full of Stories and Modern Flair♥︎

Budweis is a city in the west of Czechia with around 100,000 inhabitants and is the capital of the South Bohemian region. The city on the Vltava is also a university city with a long history and is located not far from the border with Austria and Germany. Many people know Budweis for its good Czech beer, Budweiser Budvar. In the local language, the city is called České Budějovice and has several historical buildings and interesting museums.

Budweis has a beautiful main square with many café’s and countless cute alleys. It is definitely a place you have to visit when coming to Czechia. Not only the city itself is worth seeing, but also the beautiful surroundings of Bohemia. Here you can go hiking and cycling along beautiful lakes, rivers and hills. There are also some other beautiful sights to discover here, such as fairytale castles and palaces. Day trips to Český Krumlov, 25 kilometers away, are also popular.
