Skradin is also referred as the gateway to Krka National Park and is often missed when visiting Krka National Park. The small town is definitely worth a visit. Skradin is located around 20 kilometers from Šibenik. The city’s picturesque backdrop with historical buildings from the 17th and 18th centuries, the beautiful Krka River and the beautiful mountains are particularly attractive to visitors.
Skradin is the perfect starting point for excursions in the region. By far the most popular attraction here is definitely the Krka National Park, which is around 20 minutes away by ferry. The boats leave from the harbor early in the morning and bring you back again. But trips to other places such as Šibenik, Primošten, Vodice or Biograd also make Skradin a good place to stay.
We hunt hidden gems, sip coffee in tiny cafés, and turn every street into an adventure. Come along as we share our journeys and the stories we find along the way. Welcome to our corner of the world!

Skradin
How to get there
You can get there by car, bus or boat. Skradin is only about 20 minutes by car from Šibenik. There are daily buses to and from various places in Croatia. From Zagreb it takes about 3.5 hours to get to Skradin. A ticket costs around 20€ and can be bought online or on site.
Best time to visit
The off-season is recommended here. In the months of April, May, September and October the temperatures are very pleasant and there is definitely less going on. The prices are also a bit cheaper. If you want to take a trip to Krka National Park, the off-season costs only half as much as in summer.
How expensive is Skradin
Skradin is a place that benefits greatly from the Krka National Park and is probably a bit more expensive, especially in high season. But it is definitely cheaper than Dubrovnik or Split. A beer in a restaurant here costs around 3-4€.
How much time to spend here
The small town is ideal for half a day. We also recommend spending a night in Skradin. Here you can end the evening in one of the charming restaurants and take the first ferry to Krka National Park the next morning.
