A historic and idyllic village can be found in the center of Mallorca. This picturesque corner of the island, with its narrow streets and old buildings, preserves its atmosphere and authentic Mediterranean charm. The municipality has a population of around 4,500 and is best known for its weekly livestock and handicraft market, the only genuine farmers’ market in Mallorca. Sineu’s main square is called “Plaza des Fossar” and is home to many small cafés where you can relax and enjoy the atmosphere.
Sineu is surrounded by picturesque countryside with many agricultural fields and olive groves. The region is ideal for hiking or cycling to enjoy Mallorca’s natural beauty. The small town has many historic buildings, including the Gothic-style Church of Santa María, as well as several old buildings and palaces. It is a great place to immerse yourself in the history and culture of Mallorca and experience traditional Mallorcan life.

The best way to get here is by car or bus. It’s about 40 kilometers from Palma and takes 45 minutes by car. From the capital, Palma, you can also take a bus to Sineu, which takes about an hour.
It’s a wonderful place to visit all year round, although July and August are probably the busiest months.
The market takes place on Wednesdays 08:00 -13:30
It’s a small, manageable place. You can probably explore Sineu completely in one or two hours.
