Discover the Historic Beauty and Coastal Charm of Šibenik♥︎
Šibenik is a medieval, proud city of King Krešimir. With around 40,000 inhabitants, Šibenik is, along with Zadar, one of the largest metropolises in the north of the Dalmatia region. In the old town center of Sibenik you will find numerous churches, monasteries and palaces. The center extends around the well-protected harbor. Šibenik is one of the oldest cities in Croatia. The unique location of the city, along the Krka River, also makes it to a special place.
Strolling through the small cobbled streets of the city is great. The small hidden café’s, bars and restaurants in green courtyards also make this place so special. Šibenik has four fortresses and they can all be visited. Together with the cathedral, they are one of the most popular visitor destinations. The city’s location is also perfect for day trips to the surrounding area.

How to get there
The most relaxing way to get here is by car. In general, it is a very beautiful region that is best explored by car. You can also arrive by plane via Split Airport (50 km) or Zadar Airport (75 km). From here you can travel to Šibenik by bus, rental car or taxi.
Best time to visit
The best months to visit Šibenik are from May to September. If you want to avoid the high season, April and October offer pleasant weather and fewer crowds. Water temperatures here are around 18-20 degrees.
How expensive is Šibenik
The city may not be as expensive as other places along the coast, but it is not the cheapest either. A meal for two in the city will cost at least around 40-50€. A bottle of wine will cost around 10€.
How much time to spend here
We spent one night in a super cute hotel near the old town. Šibenik is a place that you can easily explore in one day. That’s why we recommend you spend 1-2 days there.
