One of the most beautiful and enchanting places in Mallorca is the coastal town of Deià in the northwest of the island. This small community with around 700 inhabitants is located in the heart of the Tramuntana Mountains and is considered an artists’ village. It is particularly known for its breathtaking scenery, steep hills and mountains, the shimmering turquoise sea, olive and orange trees, and the green valleys surrounding the village. The cute place itself is quite small and charming, with narrow streets, traditional stone buildings, and many cafés, restaurants, and art galleries.
Here you will also find the beautiful Cala Deià, a small cove not far from the mountain village. Despite its popularity, Deia has retained its authentic, tranquil character. The surrounding area offers numerous hiking and cycling trails that allow visitors to immerse themselves in nature. Although the town is very crowded in summer (June-August), it is still always worth a visit.

The best way to get here is by car. You can also take the bus, but it’s a bit more complicated. Deia is about 30 kilometers from Palma, and the drive takes about 45 minutes. Be sure to arrive early, as parking is very limited.

We recommend the summer months (April-June, September-October). July and August are peak season, and it can get very crowded and expensive.

This charming town is considered one of the more exclusive and expensive areas of the island. Furthermore, restaurants, shops, and other services in Deia are often more expensive than in other regions of Mallorca.

A wonderful place for a day trip. There are also some lovely hotels where you can spend a night or two. The town itself can be explored in just a few hours. Deià also has a small beach and is popular with hikers and cyclists.
This is all about travel. Leave a little love. ♥︎
