Colmar is the third largest city in Alsace and is located directly on the Alsace wine route and delights holidaymakers with a mixture of wine-growing region and cultural wealth. The region is perfect for a weekend trip.

Heritage, nature, cuisine, lifestyle and much more make this area a surprising place. The storks, which help shape the typical image of Alsace, have not been forgotten. The best way to get to Colmar is by car, train or bus. Most train connections to Colmar go via Mulhouse and Strasbourg, where you have to change. You can also take a bus to Colmar from Germany, for example, but also from many other places. There are many paid parking spaces around the old town, just a few minutes’ walk from the center.

Colmar is beautiful all year round. Autumn and spring are very pleasant with mild temperatures around 20 degrees. Summer is also very nice but it can also be very hot, sometimes reaching 35 degrees. One of the most beautiful times of the year in Colmar is definitely winter. That’s when the Christmas season begins and the whole city looks like a magical Christmas world.
