Diar Il-Bniet is a family restaurant serving traditional Maltese food from their fertile lands in Dingli. This lovely place is famous for its farm-to-table operation and Maltese cuisine. There’s also a small shop where you can buy, among other things, many homemade items. The cakes and pastries are also highly recommended. A great place with friendly people and a great atmosphere.
Roża Restaurant is located in the heart of Victoria on the island of Gozo. It serves excellent traditional Maltese cuisine, as well as Italian and Arabic dishes. The restaurant is located on St. George’s Square (a lively little square in the town) and is a popular spot with locals and tourists, especially in the evenings.
On the small beach of Ghajn Tuffieha is Singita’s cool restaurant, also known as Singita Miracle Beach. It’s located right on the beach and feels more like a beach club restaurant. Good music, beautiful views, good drinks, and, above all, excellent food. There’s a large parking lot here, from which you have to walk down the stairs for about five minutes to the beach and restaurant. You can easily spend a few hours here, enjoying the day and evening.
One of the coolest restaurants can be found in the historic bastions of Valletta. A unique spot within the city’s old city walls. You can also sit outside on a beautiful terrace and enjoy great food, drinks, and service. The Aljotta soup, braised rabbit, and delicious desserts are especially popular here.
There are many good restaurants in St. Paul’s Bay (San Pawl il-Baħar). One of them is the Taverna in the town center. Here, you can enjoy delicious, fresh food with good, friendly service. Whether it’s mussels with pasta, burgers, leg of lamb, or freshly caught fish, there’s something for almost everyone.
You can enjoy one of the most beautiful views of Valletta from the Rooftop Restaurant & Lounge Valletta. The rooftop bar is located in the Embassy Hotel Valletta, which is relatively central. It offers excellent drinks, friendly service, great views, and truly delicious food. While it’s a bit more expensive than other restaurants in Valletta, it’s definitely worth a visit. Be sure to reserve a table in advance. This spot is also particularly popular for spectacular sunsets.
The Step In Restaurant is located near one of the island’s most popular destinations, the Blue Grotto. Here you can enjoy beautiful views and delicious food. You can sit either inside or outside on a large, comfortable terrace. After your trip to the Blue Grotto, you can relax here. There are several other good restaurants and bars nearby where you can sit comfortably.
In St. Paul’s Bay, there’s CIBO Pizzeria. A great place with a stunning view of the sea. Not only does it serve delicious food, including pizza, pasta, foccacia, and more, but it also offers a stunning sunset. The pizza is baked in a stone oven. The truffle focaccia was definitely our highlight of the evening.
Mulino – Villa dei Venti is not only a cute little hotel on the island of Gozo with views of the small harbor of Mgarr and the neighboring island of Malta, but also a very, very good restaurant. Here you can enjoy truly good food in a wonderful atmosphere. We can also highly recommend the hotel (we spent three nights here).
