Places to visit in Copenhagen

Nyhavn

The most famous photo motif in Copenhagen is probably the harbor and the beautiful, colorful houses in the background. Here you will find many good restaurants, café’s, bars and historic wooden ships. Nyhavn was originally a busy trading port in the middle of the city, where ships from all over the world docked. Today it is one of Copenhagen’s most famous and popular sights.

Amalienborg Castle & Fredriks Church

When you visit Copenhagen, you should of course visit Amalienborg Palace. The changing of the guard takes place here every day at 12:00. It is an impressive ceremony that you must watch. The Copenhagen city residence of the Danish king, which was built in the 17th century, consists of four identical properties. Right next to the palace is Frederik’s Church, which dominates the city’s skyline with its monumental dome.
